Major Renovation of the Prosectorium of the Faculty of Medicine, Vilnius University

The major renovation project of the prosectorium and auxiliary premises of the Department of Anatomy, Histology and Anthropology at the Faculty of Medicine of Vilnius University was successfully completed.
As part of the project, external wall waterproofing works were also carried out, improving the technical condition of the building and ensuring the long-term durability of the premises.

The project was implemented at M. K. Čiurlionio St. 21 / Z. Sierakausko St. 21, Vilnius, within the basement level of the north-western wing of the Faculty of Medicine building of Vilnius University (building index 4V3/p, unique No. 1094-0220-1040).

The building dates back to the pre-1940 period and is therefore subject to cultural heritage protection requirements. All design and construction solutions were developed and implemented in full compliance with applicable heritage conservation regulations, preserving the historic character and architectural integrity of the building.

Scope of the Project

Major renovation works were carried out in the following designated premises: R-5, R-12, R-13, R-14, R-15, R-16, R-17, R-18, and R7.29.
The total floor area of the renovated premises amounts to 280.86 m², with a total volume of 842.78 m³.
The functional use of the building — cultural and educational — remained unchanged throughout the project.

Design Solutions

All project disciplines were developed and implemented using Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology, ensuring efficient project management, accuracy of design solutions, and smooth coordination of construction works.
