SIP Project Recognized as the Best BIM Infrastructure Project of 2024

The team of specialists at UAB Statybų inžinerinės paslaugos successfully delivered the project:
“Reconstruction and Construction of Stormwater Drainage Networks on Upės St., Kalvarijų St., Žalgirio St., and Stormwater Treatment Facilities on Upės St., Vilnius City.”

The primary objective of the project was to disconnect existing stormwater pipelines from the combined sewer system and enable properties located along Kalvarijų Street to connect to the newly designed stormwater infrastructure. Additionally, new treatment facilities were constructed to ensure that purified stormwater could be safely discharged into the Neris River.

The catchment area analyzed during the design phase covered approximately 37 hectares. The project included the design of approximately 4,558 meters of stormwater pipelines and two independent treatment lines, each capable of processing 310 liters per second, resulting in a total treatment capacity of 620 l/s.

The project was developed using Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodology. A 3D model was created to represent both the existing site conditions and the proposed infrastructure. Surface scanning was performed to ensure accurate terrain modeling. The design models were developed to a Level of Development (LOD) 200–350, meeting detailed design requirements.

All designed structures were classified according to the ISO 81346 standard, using functional and technical system codes to ensure a unified, stable, and consistent model structure. The final BIM model was delivered to the client in open IFC format, along with all project documentation generated directly from the model.
